Golf Savings Bank was a community bank located in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. Lynnwood Financial Group, Inc. acquired Golf Savings in 2006, and they made it a subsidiary of the corporation's primary banking company, Sterling Financial Corp. In August of 2010, Lynnwood Financial decided to fold Golf savings into Sterling Savings Bank, eliminating the brand. Golf Savings Bank accounts and banking services are now Sterling Savings Bank accounts and Sterling Savings banking services.
About Sterling Savings Bank
Sterling Financial Corporation chartered Sterling Savings Bank in Washington State in 1983 with only $2.8 million in starting assets. The headquarters of Sterling Savings is in Spokane, Washington and has 178 branch locations in Washington, California, Montana and Idaho. Sterling savings employs more than 2,500 people and has assets that total over $9 billion.
The merging of Golf Savings Bank accounts into Sterling Savings Bank in 2010 has strengthened Sterling Savings even further and Sterling Financial Corporation no longer has to divide its key management personnel between two different banks.
Sterling Savings Bank Accounts
Sterling Savings Bank offers a full range of traditional banking services. These services include checking accounts, savings accounts and credit card accounts. The bank also offers home, auto and personal loans. Financial services are also available, including retirement accounts, investment accounts and private banking.
A robust array of online services supports all Sterling Savings banking services. Personal online banking allows account holders to access their accounts at any time from any place. Through online banking, customers can check account balances and view transaction history, including processed check images. Online banking users may export their bank data into most any money management application.

All account holders have an option to stop their paper monthly statements and receive them online. Online statements can be printed, viewed or downloaded and are available in the database for several years.
A unique feature of Sterling Savings Bank is their free FinanceWorks system. FinanceWorks is a financial money management application that provides account holders with an easy-to-read snapshot of their financial situation, deposits and expenditures.
